Business Link for London

The Business Link for London team have set up blogs in order to connect their users more directly with the personal experience of other SME principals using MT.
The Women's Business Centre blog and the blog for London's Ethnic Business Community are the two leading examples in order to connect their target users more directly with the personal experience of others. The Business Link for London team have written up a useful factsheet on blogging for SMEs, which complements existing knowledgebases about using IT and the Web within an SME context and working as a graphic or web designer.

CSIP satellite sites

Rather than use traditional discussion forums we recommended a different approach for the Care Services Improvment Partnership websites as weblogs offer a much more direct and personal connection between internal staff and web site users, because they support quick and easy publishing of notes, thoughts, links, etc.

We based the functionality of this area around MT system to maximise compatibility with other systems and ease of management, but we also extended this system using our own programming code to provide the features mentioned above and to integrate it seamlessly within the wider CSIP regional sites.

Involve

We have been working with Involve to help them develop online tools for network development. Their new site was a collaboration with Hyperkit, and combined with Six Apart's Movable Type-driven weblog with a simple content management system and the Confluence wiki platform that lets different groups manage project wikis that can be open, closed or anywhere in between.

Carnegie Rural Commission

The CRC uses MT as a semi-internal blog that lets dispersed project teams keep in touch and share reports.
