Objectives
To define a research area around the study of emergent social process or structures on social software or media.
Morning
The morning will be a three hour session relating case studies, sort papers or presentations of how they have used implicit structure or process within a much less structured social software space, ie blogs, wikis, social networks.
6 stories and presentations of about 20-30 minutes each. These will either be a paper presentation, slide show or Q&A session depending on participant.
Extra time can be taken up with anecdotal stories and experience.
Afternoon
The afternoon will be a three hour session that will extract themes, coalesce ideas, relate disciplines, and see if we can define a space for study or research.
- This will be started with a "Scribble, Say, Slap" process to emerge ideas.
- Followed by a clustering exercise to seperate out concepts.
- Then mapping relationships
- Finally a less formal discussion around the outcomes and the process
- Ending with a next steps for all participants.
Outcomes
- We will publish on this wiki all the case studies and morning stories
- The concept mapping will be documented
- Next steps will be written up and also documented here
