Announces the 2006 Call for Speakers:
I would like to invite you to submit a speaking proposal for the 2006
Online Information Conference taking place from 28-30 November in the
Olympia Conference Centre, London.
Sitting in the audience at the first Online Information Conference in
1977, I had no sense at all that the conference would still be going
strong 30 years later. Certainly technology has changed however many
of the issues have remained the same.
At the first conference one of the main themes was trying to assess
how organisations could benefit from more effective access to
information. Thirty years later we still have too few answers, so
the focus of the 2006 conference will be on exploring good practice in
providing external and enterprise content to those who need it for
organisational success.
Do you have a story to tell?
Maybe you have been involved in a leading-edge research project, on a
multi-national or global basis presenting new sets of challenges?
Or perhaps you have found new ways to enhance the performance of your
organisation through new information and knowledge management
initiatives?
Then why not share it with others?
It doesn't matter if you work in business, academia or the public
sector, good ideas are invariably transferable. This year we will not
only look back to see what lessons can be learned from the pioneers
but will set our sights on what lies ahead, inviting people with a
vision for the future.
What might the Online world look like in 2010? This is your chance to
shape the future.
